Donna Pray, Executive DirectorDonna and Ron Pray moved to Gilroy from Menlo Park in 1977 for Ron’s business. They raised four children in Gilroy and during that time, Donna volunteered for various school and extra-curricular activities that the children were involved in. In 1987, Gilroy Foundation Board of Directors asked her to work with their Board Member, Patty Filice, in creating a “special event” that would bring attention to the Foundation and the work they wanted to do in the community. That was the beginning of a “Day in the Country”! In 1995, Donna took the part-time job as Executive Director. Donna has served on the City’s Arts and Culture Commission, Theater Angels Art League and has been a member of Gilroy Assistance League since 1992. Her background in marketing has been beneficial to her work at Gilroy Foundation. She and Ron enjoy traveling to visit their children in Lexington, Kentucky; San Clemente; Red Bluff; and Woodbury, Connecticut. Donna also is an avid dog lover!

Vicki Campanella, Director of DevelopmentA 40+-year resident of Gilroy, Vicki raised her two sons here, loving the small town feeling and safe environment that the community possessed. She graduated Cal Poly SLO and eventually began work in Development with the Diocese of San Jose, employed by St. Mary School, Gilroy as Development Director and Assistant to the Principal for 23 years. During her tenure there, she organized a grass-root effort with other Development Directors in the Diocese sharing ideas that worked for all of the schools. She "came out of retirement" to join Gilroy Foundation as Development Director in 2014, enabling her to continue to enjoy working in the nonprofit sector. "Retirement" also includes active involvement in Gilroy Assistance League and the Learning and Loving Education Center, Morgan Hill. She and her husband Frank enjoy family time with the grandkids, time with each other, and traveling (especially cruising!).

Deb Sanchez, Event CoordinatorDebbi Sanchez is a lifelong Gilroyan. She is married to her high school sweetheart and current co-empty-nester, Mike. Debbi is a mom, known as “E” to three amazing grandchildren, and a servant to a diva rescue Yorkie named Snacks. Active locally for as long as she can remember, Debbi loves being a part of the community and is always promoting small businesses, nonprofits, and encouraging others to get involved. Deb came to Gilroy Foundation in 2019 and brought with her over 20 years of nonprofit, board, event, and hospitality experience.
