The investing of Gilroy Foundation’s endowment is supervised by the Silicon Valley Community Foundation (SVCF), managed by a team of professional investment managers and invested along with Community Foundation’s assets to maximize the investment potential.
Gilroy Foundation’s operating costs are covered by annual fundraising events and our Sustaining Sponsors.
All funds donated to the Foundation’s endowment have created a permanent savings account for the community. Only 5% of the balance is granted out each year, with excess interest earned being reinvested for the future.
