Scholarships
Gilroy Foundation encourages career opportunities in all professions and trades. The Foundation awarded its first scholarship in 1999. It was the Julie and Richard Hayes award for $250. That was just the beginning of our ability to help hundreds of students with educational expenses. From the start of the scholarship program in 1999 to date, Gilroy Foundation has awarded nearly $6 million in scholarships to deserving high school graduates and college students in the Gilroy Area. In 2022, over 480 applications came through the Foundation office, vying for 98 awards ranging from $250 to $50,000.
In 2022, we were pleased to award 95 scholarships totaling $519,550.
